The Intern Archive Update #12

Update and review something Joined by the first time returning guest host Chelsea for some better and feminine perspective.

YOU HAVE TO BE

WORRIED    OR    EXCITED

Trailer #1: Fury

Directed by David Ayer starring Brad Pitt, Shia LeBouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, and Jon Bernthal

Intern Review: A new recruit joins an experience troupe on a tank team to fight the Nazi's in WWII. This covers love and war and what the experience will do to a regular joe. Its like 300 but in WWII with only 5 people instead of 300 and fighting about 500-1000 baddies. I like it but will eventually be slotting it into a group of good but forgettable movies.

Trailer #2: The Judge

Directed by David Dobbin starring Robert Downey Jr, Robert Duvall, Vera Farmiga, and Vincent D'Onofrio

Intern Review: The Judges son (Downey Jr) comes back home for his mother's funeral and finds out that his dad The Judge (Duvall) may have killed someone he sent to jail a long time ago. This movie is about estranged relationships has a little bit of incest and crappy pants and a lot of heavy drama. I like the relationships that everyone has and D'Onofrio shows us why he is a great actor by playing any role really.

Trailer #3: The Town That Dreaded Sundown

Directed by  Alfonso Gomez-Rejon starring Addison Rimlin, Veronica Cartwright and Anthony Anderson

Intern Review: The Town That Dreaded Sundown starts out strong and has potential. However most things with strong potential let you down as did this town. This is a story of a serial killer who comes back years later to commit the same crimes over again years later. All the moments that are supposed to be intense seem to fall short and the twist ending is not so twisty and makes for a poor ending. This filming was quality but this should have been a much darker movie. Maybe if there is an uncensored version that comes out watch that one.

Trailer #4: Nightcrawler

Directed by Dan Gilroy starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Bill Paxton, and Riz Ahmed

Intern Review: Watch a transformation of a person trying to do a good job to get a head in the world turn into a real monster. Acting in this is great and the movie is very dark and disturbing in all the right ways. Super creepy and just a plain old Trailer Park good time.

Trailer #5: Revenge Of The Green Dragons

Directed by Wai-Keung Lau and Andrew Loo starring Justin Chon, Kevin Wu, Harry Shum Jr, and Ray Liotta

Intern Review: The Green Dragons came to America smuggling humans and drugs and killing any non-white rivals to rake in the money. When one of the smuggled gang members disagrees with what is going on he helps the FBI shut down the whole operation. There are limited connections in this movie making it hard to care about what happened. It was filmed well but has the same problem as fury it is a forgettable movie.
